still visiting . . .

.   .   .    still visiting Eastern Board territory. A few from the last couple of days;
Headed over to Fostoria to visit a brother after visiting my aunt in Findlay, OH. Stopped by the Iron Triangle on the way catching a couple of westbound CSX trains on the exB&O main line (top and middle) and wondered why so many people there? Found out why on the return trip to Findlay seeing the NKP 676 steamer sitting just east of Arcadia on the exNKP main out of reach and couldn't wait around as we had to get back to aunt's for dinner, oh well. This morning heading west from Findlay towards our destination tonight of Valparaiso, IN caught this eastbound NS local on exNKP at Leipsic, OH (bottom)   .   .   .  six more to come   .   .   .

.   .   .    with the exNKP main pretty dead stopped in the small town of Payne, OH for lunch running across this nice looking exNKP caboose in a local park (top) then west of Fort Wayne, IN in the small town of Hamlet spotted this exWisconsin Central GP at a local grain elevator (middle) then after arriving Valparaiso, IN and checking in at the motel headed out west of town to where three lines cross and two connect to each other waited around a few hours before heading back into town for a VERY fine dinner at Kelceys Steak and Seafood resturant which was the reason for spending the night here before dropping wife at Midway Airport tomorrow afternoon for a flight home while I stay behind for five days to railfan the Chicago area. On arrival at this junction of lines on the west side of Valpo noticed an eastbound lined into town which turned out to be this eastbound NS train (bottom)   .   .   .   six more to come   .   .   .

.   .   .   after waiting for the last eastbound CN this short westbound NS auto rack train left town heading west (top) followed shortly by the short eastbound NS local coming into Valpo (middle) and lastly before heading back into town and picking up my wife for an EXCELLENT Prine Rib dinner at Kelceys a westbound CN on the exGTW appeared heading into the nice late afternoon sun (boottom) tomorrow, the Windy City unfortunately with projected mostly showers, we will see. Always enjoy spending time in Eastern Board territory, thanks for the hospitality!

Not much response for a great series of pictures! Some Great afternoon light but I really like the shot of the CN passing the station sign with the cloud wisps up above!

NS calls the former NKP-GTW diamond in Valpo "Spriggsboro".

Wondered as a map I have mentions Spriggsboro but not Valparaiso? Thanks.
