Eastern Railroad Discussion > Go Indians - Chief Wahoo Rides the RailsDate: 10/26/16 13:23 Go Indians - Chief Wahoo Rides the Rails Author: nomosantafe Congratulations to the Cleveland Indians winning game 1 of the World Series.
I lived in the Cleveland area (Shaker Heights) for 5 years in the 90's. I suffered through the loss of the 1997 World Series with the Indians losing a 1 run lead in the seventh game in the ninth inning thanks to Jose Mesa's(best closer in the AL that year) inability to get the job done needing only 2 outs to win. Any other year I would root for the Cubs, but I'm rooting for the Tribe. I worked for the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad from 1994 - 1998. The Chief Mechanical Officer and I decided Chief Wahoo should ride our RR during the World Series, and he got a cabride for the length of the Series.
