The Mance, PA CSX pumpkin was found sitting among its uncarved siblings on a shelf at a "Michaels" store in Manassas,VA in October 2002.  Since then, this artifical gourd has "carved" quite a path in the hills and valleys surrounding the eastern slope of CSX's famed Sand Patch grade.  This post is a celebration of 11 years with Chessie.

1.  October 2016 - Chessie overlooks a westbound autorack climbing the mountain.
2.  Chessie in her youth next to the former Mance Post Office.
3.  Let sleeping cats lie - Two Chessies......Yes....Of course it's photoshop.

4.  Chessie waits for P030 early one October morning.
5.  An appropriately colored private car brings up the rear of P030 near the NA signal.
6.  Chessie monitors a westbound autorack at the same location......or is it eastbound?

great shots.  how large is the pumpkin?

The pumpkin is only about 10-12".  Photoshop does the rest..

Yes Dave.....Chessie is "ageless", unlike you and me.
