Today a gloomy Tuesday the 29th. we bid fairwell to Elwood Belknap who passed away last week, Elwood was an engineer for seventeen years on the Tioga Central, later the Tioga Scenic, and Owego Harford.

A very nice send off, at Elwood's wife Dottie's request I had a Leslie S-3bj mounted on my Avalanche sounded five longs at the start, and finish of the service calling a fallen railroader home. RIP Elwood.

Like myself, Elwood was a Locomotive Air Horn & Whistle enthusiast.

Having the horns at the service is a nice touch.  As long as they weren't used inside the building.

From the way you've described Mr Belknap, it sounds like he would have enjoyed the whole thing.
