Heart of Georgia/HOG info needed please

Hi All:

I'll be getting down to GA to shoot the HOG again in a few weeks. The first time I railfanned the line was mostly by dumb luck and would like to do better this time if I can, 

Can anybody give me a rough idea of what to see on a typical day? Where/when to catch stuff?

Also any news on the west end of the line to Marht,  AL? Any plans to reopen/abandon/whatever?

Mhart traffic goes out via the CCH n NS now. Theres not enough of that to justify there being a secondary acsess line.

Been decades, I think, since a train operated over the ex-SAL Chattahoochee River bridge. Georgia DOT owns the right of way.
