Every December for the past several years, the Dennison Depot in Dennson, OH, has teamed up with the Ohio Central (G&W) to run Polar Express passenger trains. These trains run west from Dennison Depot to a North Pole display setup in Newcomerstown, OH, then back east for about a 1 1/2 hour trip. The trains ran this weekend, but they will also be running next weekend. Trains departure times are 6pm and 8pm on Friday and 2, 4, 6, and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.

- RPCX 422 (Former Chippewa Valley - Owned by the Dennison Depot)
- RPCX 3125 "Paul Revere" (PRR - private owner)
- RPCX 401 (bi-level former Chicago Metra/CNW car - private owner)
- RPCX 10626 "Woodland Stream" (NYC Pullman - private owner)
- RPCX 101 (PRR - from ORHS)
- CTVX 1 "Mt Baxter" (six axle ex-NKP heavyweight - from MRPS)
- CTVX 90 (former NKP coach - from MRPS)
- CTVX 62 (six axle ex-NKP heavyweight - from MRPS)
- RPCX 800844 "George C. Davis" (former B&M RDC/VRE coach - from CPHRHS)
- CTVX 4412 baggage/generator car (former US Army troop train kitchen car - from MRPS)
OC 3339 on the east end

1) WB at Main Street in Uhrichsville for the 12/3 2pm run.
2) WB at Lock 17. G&W has hired three sheriffs to block all crossing on the route, as they have since the first of these trains ran years ago.
3) EB at the North Pole in Newcomerstown shortly after stopping and switching direction.

4) The RPCX 401.
5) EB at Gnadenhutten.
6) Parked for the night in the siding in Dennison shortly after the 8pm run returned, as seen from a former NKP caboose on display.

7) 3339 and C&O 2700 both parked at the east end of the Dennison Depot. 3339 would move again hours later, 2700 on the other hand...

THat last photo is spooky. Why do I say that, look at 2700's smoke stack. It actually the way the lighting and image cmae out, looks like heat. But it could be my computer monitor doing that.

Intersting operation. I like both of your elevated photos of the train.
