Eastern Railroad Discussion > Cresson PA Engine House/Yard QuestionDate: 01/18/17 11:19 Cresson PA Engine House/Yard Question Author: alto_towerbob I'm sure one of the West Slope officianados will know the answer to this:
I often hear the NS Pittsburgh East dispatcher giving permission to units exiting the main at YD at Cresson and entering the engine house area -- on the Cresson runner from "Park to Plug." I know which track the Cresson runner is, but where exactly is "Park" and where is "Plug"?? Thanks, Bob Date: 01/18/17 11:40 Re: Cresson PA Engine House/Yard Question Author: DJ-12 alto_towerbob Wrote:

Date: 01/18/17 12:05 Re: Cresson PA Engine House/Yard Question Author: NKP715 PLUG is defined as being .5 mile from MO, whereas
PARK is 3.1 miles from MO. These are shown in the R J Corman Cresson Subdivision TT. I believe the RJC DS has control for PARK, and NS for PLUG. NS would certainly have to give permission to enter the engine facility. Perhaps someone can provide better info. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 01/18/17 12:15 by NKP715. |
