Guilfod's PLED
Author: ELLW13

Earlier today, while at the remains of the Berlin, CT station, PLED came down off of the New Britain branch and proceeded north on Amtrak's main line towards Hartford. The train was very long and was composed of mainly tank cars, which I assume were empty as there are several unloading facilities in the Plainville (PL) area, and about six loaded lumber cars. I assume that these lumber cars will be dropped off in Hartford so that they will eventually be brought to the Home Depot warehouse on the old Griffin line.

My question is this? Why aren't these lumber cars dropped off on the train's earlier trip south from South Deerfield (SD)?

     Am I missing something.
