CSX 633 With Blue Letters & Paint Question
Author: cornerfieldhobby

I happen to see a recent upload on youtube someone got today of CSX Q378 from Rochester NY. Well the 3rd unit was a CSX AC6000CW #633. But what was different were the letters were not Yellow bold, but blue. Why was this AC6000's letters roadname blue instead of yellow?

Also for the CSX Paint Schemes, I know YN stands for Yellow Nose which YN1, was the Stealth scheme. YN2 is what most AC4400CW still use accept quite a few are mostly YN3 & YN3b, but with the AC6000CW's, that paint scheme I don't really know what that's called. On AC6000CW's with YN2 type of paint, is that called YN2 or something else?

The 633 originally had the golden lettering...but received a repaint in the early 2000's.

Ok, that explains why. How many AC6000's have this type of paint with the blue letters?

Apparently 633, 666 and 667 had this treatment after suffering engine fires. I think at least 666 has cince recieved YN3 though...

IIRC 666 ended up with YN3B-Yellow Nose third scheme Boxcar logo, of which from a graphic design standpoint is way too simple.
