NS question
Author: YankeeDog

From what I know about eastern railoroads, NS runs the ex-NYC west of Cleveland, and the NKP line form Bellevue to Chicago .  Does it still own the ex-PRR line into Chicago?  Are all three used.  Any info is appreciated.

During the Conrail split, NS sold it's portion of the ex-Pennsy west of Fort Wayne to CSX to balance the routes.  NS kept trackage rights though. After a few years, CSX leased it to Rail America, as stated above.

Actually, the entire ex-NKP main from Buffalo to Chicago is still very much in use.
