When trucks are driverless in a  few  years, will they  adhere to the speed  limit? I see problems ahead. Truckers like to speed!!

Since they don't have to stop for bathroom breaks and hours of service, they can drive the speed limit and still get there on time.

Will the Cardinal go daily before or after trucks go driverless?

Trucks will go driverless and elephants will fly (without the aid of an airplane) before the Cardinal goes daily.

For the large trucking companies trucks are already driverless as most ship boxes on trains. Read in a trucking industry mag that the large companies intend to do away with OTR drivers and just have drivers make short huals out of intermodal hubs.

I stop. And I have to obey and adhere to HOS Laws also. Ben

Your right.  Driver-less trucks will have no one to give tickets to or hang for all the various violations.

A computer can drive a truck on the Interstate. It will be a lot longer before a computer can spot a truck at a loading dock, or navigate a city street, or fuel the rig.

Only marginally related to railroads, of course. Is there a Logbooks.com?
