Saw NS Jersey Central SD70ACe #1071 leading 20E in Rootstown OH
Author: cornerfieldhobby

I didn't have to start the topic as I knew 20E was coming with 1071 early this morning. So I kept watch during the day while doing things and seen the post of Huron at 3:15PM. Anyway, I drove out and went to Rootstown Ohio. I arrived at 4:38PM. He was the only train I saw. Anyway, he passed at 5:18PM. So it took 2 hours to get to Rootstown from Huron. That's really good time. Anyway, note the turned off or burned out ditch lights.

Yes I caught Central of New Jersey at East Conway right after dusk, headed east.

Nice catch! I think it rolled through my town of Topton, PA at 06:02 this morning.
I was hoping it would have taken its time across PA overnight so I could catch it after sunrise but I think I got skunked.

Wow, glad you caught him before the light was completely gone. As for this morning, as he was going track speed through Ohio, from Rootstown to Conway only took 1 hour & 40 minutes is very quick time. Usually takes 2+ hours to get from Conway to Rootstown or the other way around.

Here are a couple of photos.

These are at East Conway. The train was eastbound. East end of Conway Yard about 20 or so miles Northwest of Pittsburgh.

Thank you. Not sure about that other train. Had some neat tractors on it.

Yea, that's why I mentioned M4A as M4A comes from Elkhart with new tractors generally John Deere most of the time.
