BNSF JB Hunt Stacks Out Of Memphis To The NS
Author: NSSpike

Anyone here have a clue as to why NS is running NS 264 & 265, the BNSF QLACAUG JB Hunt stack trains on the Alabama East End District for well over a week now? And not just on weekdays! So I can't believe it has to do with a MOW curfew for track work? The BSNF coal drags and the other stacks like the Nacho trains (22N & 23N) are still running the Atlanta / Chattanooga / Memphis routing. For the loaded coal drags routing via Birmingham not an option.

Just wondering if they are trying to avoid the CSX tracks into Chattanooga for this time sensitive train??

CSX has an absolute M of W curfew in effect on it's Chattanooga sub.  CSX has limited NS to a smaller amount of trains using the Chattanooga sub during his curfew.  It's expected to last until 2nd week of April.   This could have something to do with it.

Thanks for the reply. Probably reason for a few more empty Scherer PRB coal drags using the Alabama East End to Birmingham routing.
