NS 25V???
Author: reel_smooth

Just noticed on H/U.com that someone w/ very few reports to their credit has the Amtrak P42 #145 as being on 25V, seen in person; Is this actually possible and real? I've seen class 1 RR locomotives helping Amtrak when they run into mechanical problems, but, this jusn't doesn't seem logical.

I am guessing it was supposed to be NS 1071

Sometimes when reporting a locomotive on the HU mobile site, it will automatically select Amtrak 145 (at the top of the list) along with whatever locomotive you are trying to select. I used to have that problem a lot, and would have to make sure to go back and deselect 145. I didn't have the problem once I upgraded phones - but I think it's a common user error due to a glitch in the mobile programming.

As far as I know, Amtrak 145 is NOT coupled up with NS 1071 on 25v at the moment.

It's not a programming glitch. The problem is that sometimes when people using smartphones start swiping through the locomotive menu, they tap too hard and select one of the Amtrak units without noticing they have done so. This happens most often with Amtrak 145 but sometimes with other engines as well, if there's an overly heavy tap during swiping.
