Eastern Railroad Discussion > St. Patrick's Day on the Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern, Remsen NYDate: 03/25/17 11:16 St. Patrick's Day on the Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern, Remsen NY Author: ut-1 On March 17th, Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern took 31 tank cars north on the railroad's 45 mile Utica-Boonville-Lyons Falls, NY branch for storage between Boonville-Lyons Falls.
I caught the freight as it passed through Remsen, NY, approx 21 miles north of Utica. I like bagpipes and pageantry as much as anyone, but this was my idea of a great St. Patrick's Day parade! A few pictures will be posted below as well. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 03/26/17 01:24 by ut-1. You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. Join Today! Nice touch with the green text for St. Patrick's Day. Your stuff keeps bringing back memories of my childhood. I can remember a lot of road construction going on around Remsem sometime in the 1950's, probably on NY route 12. Went to Boy Scout camp at Woodgate many times, Camp Russell.
