NS Masters Special

Anyone know when the Masters train is due to leave Altoona, PA? Just got word from a NS conductor in Augusta, GA that it's supposedly due into Augusta by either Wednesday or Thursday.

I have no inside knowledge, but it usually leaves Altoona the Tuesday before the tournament starts.

Leaves Altoona Tues. morning. No official time yet. Deadhead to Cincinnati via Pittsburgh, Alliance, Mansfield, Colsan, etc. Wick Moorman's car Sandy Creek part of consist. Looks like they will have entire fleet on this trip.

That's odd -- usually the Masters train has deadheaded via Harrisburg unless they had a specific reason to use a different route.

The section of the NS R Line between Columbia, SC and Augusta, GA was restricted to 25 mph.
