EMD Tier 4 Demonstrators Street Running

For a few months, CSX was testing a pair of EMD Tier 4 Demonstrators locomotives. At one point, they tested them between Cincinnati, OH and Cumberland, MD on manifests Q316 (eastbound) and Q317 (westbound).

On a cloudy afternoon, Q316 negotiates the street runnning trackage of downtown Saint Marys, WV along the former B&O with EMDX 1609 and 1610 leading the way.

Anyone in the know able to tell me what those horns are? Sure didn't sound like the K5LLA's I'm used to hearing on NS's Tier III ACe's.

Surprised that the sill stripe appears to be white. These are obviously intended to eventually end up on UP's roster and they've opted for yellow sill stripes.
