Author: dwil89 Seemingly unchanged since the Pennsy days is the Westward view from the Harrisburg Station, where electrification extends for a short distance to the West....A single EMD can also be seen using a jumpover in this pic....Dave W.

I brough two rolls of slide film, but didn't take a single shot with it, using all print film. I think it's safe to say that we all made the best of the weather yesterday. The three o'clock train was the one I rode, so I photographed the other two.
Hopefully, the weather will be nice the next time the E8s are on an excursion. Date: 05/01/05 15:29 Re: More pics from E-8 excursion.... Author: dwil89 OCtrainguy Wrote:

How far did your ride get...The first one only made it as far as the West Hump..never got through the yards to Lemoyne, was blocked by a train being humped.....Dave W. Not to split hairs, but isn't that an Eastward view, with the EMD occupying the west leg of the NS's Lurgan Branch going up over Amtrak, and the NS Royalton Branch at the extreme left of the frame? To the west, Amtrak's Harrisburg Line runs into the NS Pittsburgh Line, and there's a roadway overpass there, not rail. Date: 05/02/05 14:18 Re: More pics from E-8 excursion.... Author: OCtrainguy We stopped just south of the I-81 overpass, not too far into the yard.
