athearn f7ab with dcc and sound
Author: schneid

I recently purchased an athearn f7ab with sound and dcc. The one unit has the volume low while the other came with the volume high. Is there some way to adjust the volume of each using analog dc, since I don't have dcc.

thanks, paul

If they are MRC sound, they have a small rheostat knob inside. If tsunami, you'll need to adjust CV128 via a DCC programmer.

P.S. if they are MRC, I'm sorry you missed all the trainorders.com threads about them.

Good luck, I bought mine and sent them back - sound was all messed up - they were the MRC decoders, since them I bought a set with Tsunami and they work perfectly
