Model Railroading > Need suggestions for sound for an HH1000 Santa FeDate: 01/14/10 14:50 Need suggestions for sound for an HH1000 Santa Fe Author: checkmate007 I currently have a Santa Fe HH1000 from OMI and debating what sound chip I should put. Thoughts?
Date: 01/14/10 16:52 Re: Need suggestions for sound for an HH1000 Santa Fe Author: CNW The HH1000s had 6-cylinder model 539 turbocharged prime movers, which were the same as the Alco S2, S4 and RS1 models.
You can listen to a short sound file of an S2 by following this link: http://www.yardoffice.com/RR/DieselSounds/dieselsoundssamples.html Click on the text "track 2" to play the sound file. I had one of those HH1000's in ATSF, got rid of it and then the HH660's came out, getting close. It was a novelty engine for me, just because I like Alco's and think they are kewl :-) Date: 01/14/10 19:14 Re: Need suggestions for sound for an HH1000 Santa Fe Author: checkmate007 The HH1000 is brass from Overland, much better than Atlas.
