Model Railroading > Conrail 86' BoxcarDate: 02/25/10 19:17 Conrail 86' Boxcar Author: Conraildan2 I decided to take a L&N 86 footer box car and repaint it into a Conrail Quality car.
1.) The Before Pic. 2.) The After Pic. I used acrylic paints and mixed: 1 part black, 2 parts brown oxide, 1 part nutmeg brown, and 1 part water. The decals are from micro scale. Date: 02/25/10 19:58 Re: Conrail 86' Boxcar Author: Conraildan2 I didnt know that, actually i have like three of these Athearn boxcars, all the same car number. Plus i got them for $4.00 each at a train show years ago. i really liked the way it turned out and plan on doing more of these.
