Model Railroading > Interesting BIG cable reel load CheyenneDate: 07/24/10 21:45 Interesting BIG cable reel load Cheyenne Author: highgreengraphics Today while milling about waiting for 844 to leave Cheyenne, this interesting load of BIG cable reels was at Barnett, WY just east of Cheyenne. I included a closer view for tie-down details.
Reel happy railfanning! === === = === JLH Date: 07/24/10 21:52 Re: Interesting BIG cable reel load Cheyenne Author: SF3751 Where there DPU's on this guy? I think I was rolling back to the train when I saw 2 DPU's (BNSF of course) just crossing the bridge heading outta town.

The blueish/green color is used for gas pipe.

:) Date: 07/26/10 11:48 Re: Interesting BIG cable reel load Cheyenne Author: jpf94 It is pipe material. There are 4 known other XTTX cars modified to carry these rolls. They are dedicated service for these rolls, I photographed the 4 in St Paul MN last summer. They are a hit and miss load. This sighting makes 5 cars. Thanks for the post.
