Model Railroading > DT&I GondolaDate: 09/12/10 15:43 DT&I Gondola Author: icancmp193 I've been fiddling with this Walthers 53' Thrall Gondola for some time. I added a Walthers steel coil load and did some modest weathering with AIM Products powders and some Tamiya "rubs". I can't bear to make a gondola as scuzzy as many of them get to be, so this must be a newer car that's not too thrashed yet, with a "new" date of 11-71.

Here's a sister ex DTI car still running around in late 2009. This particular car was formerly DTI 9619 and is now being used to carry large chunks of rock in the PA area, but many others are still in coil steel service. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 09/13/10 18:09 by csxwilsmere. |
