Model Railroading > Who makes the most accurate PRR frt. diesel loco paint?Date: 10/06/10 06:40 Who makes the most accurate PRR frt. diesel loco paint? Author: pwh I have a undec Atlas HO Alco C425 that I want to paint as a Pennsy loco.
Which paint manufacturer makes the most accurate PRR Brunswick green to paint it? Thanks. Date: 10/06/10 11:44 Re: Who makes the most accurate PRR frt. diesel loco pa Author: wabash2800 I think that Scalecoat does but have never used it.
It has to be pretty dark and the only way you see the green in it is in bright light. I remember the real thing. Even when it weathered, you could see the green but only in bright light. Mix it 50/50 with scalecoat or lacquer thinner to airbrush. Did a pair of pennsy sharks a couple years ago for a friend & I was very happy with the finish.

Take 25 gal of black paint, set it beside 1/2 pint of dark paint in low light for 12 hrs, throw away the green paint, open the black and apply. Date: 10/09/10 12:20 Re: Who makes the most accurate PRR frt. diesel loco pa Author: wabash2800 Thanks for the laugh...
