Atlas U28/30b chassis ?
Author: SandPatch1

Is the U28 and the U30 B chassis's one and the same??? I can find the 30 on the atlas parts site but not the 28b. SO are they the same, to be more specific the sound versions. I have a 28 and want to put a 30 shell on. thanks in advance.

Atlas makes a U28B? I didn't think that was the case in N, HO or O. If you meant U23B and HO, the chassis is interchangeable with the U30B.

Bowser made an early U28B, and P2K made a late LL/U28B. You sure you're not confusing one of these as an Atlas product? The Bowser had a Kato drive. I know Atlas produced a U23B and a U30B in HO. They need to do more U-boats. :-)

I sure can't remember an Atlas U28B, nor does their Web site indicate their having produced one since 1999.

I went and checked the boxes in my "hobby shop"; and Atlas has the U23B and late U30B, same chassis. P2K has the late U28B and early U30B. Stewart has the U25B and the early U28B.
