I agree, I don't deal in sound at all, not providing that choice cuts anything BLI makes out of my collection. I have often wondered if one could order something in a distributor-direct scratch-and-dent scenario that had the sound innards removed to service another one, or was just plain defective in the first place. I am familiar with Intermountain's offices in Longmont, CO, there is a large room with pieces and parts spread out all over, and test tracks to revise units that arrive imported less than perfect, including a lot of locomotive sound components. === === = === JLH
