Model Railroading > "This Train is Bound for GLORY" boxcar by Carstens

I bought the model from Carstens Publications recently. They wrote that it was made in 1979 in promotion of the recorded album "This Train is Bound for GLORY." And also the number on the both sides is 79. However, the album has been released in 1976.
Do you know the circumstances? I don't own old issues of the RMC magazine.

Not sure about the car you have, but the film "Bound For Glory" was released in 1976
about the life of Woody Guthrie. Could be a tie in with the sound track? Maybe?

This appears to have been Carstens only music venture. No idea how the project turned out.
