Does NWSL still exist?
Author: kgmontreal

I've been trying to get some replacement gears for some Samhongsa brass diesels. My hobby dealer has called NWSL three times and not received an answer. Is the company still in business? Does anyone know of another source for NWSL gears?

A very brief Google check turned up nwsl.com.

Yes, they still exist.

I would be interesting to hear if they really still do exist as a functioning business.

Just because an Internet Service Provider has not shut off their website does not mean they are still in business.

Let me rephrase my question. Has anyone successfully purchased any parts directly from NWSL recently?

NWSL is owned by Oso Railworks.

Try http://shop.osorail.com/category.sc;jsessionid=3B55529F85616C584D59553175B15371.m1plqscsfapp04?categoryId=14

They have an online store which I have ordered from.

I ordered some locomotive split wheelsets from them last year, which used to be made of nickel-silver, but now are made of stainless steel, with no change in package nomenclature, i.e. they are the same number. They are now based out of Montana. The website is accurate and works as far as I could tell. = = JLH

I recently ordered several universal drive line couplings (Jan 2014 time frame)to repair a Roco turntable. No issues, order arrived just over a week later. I ordered from the on-line store at shop.osorail.com.

About 3 months ago I ordered 4 delrin gears for two Hallmark N gauge brass GP20's to replace broken gears in the gear box, received
them in about a week with no problem. I ordered them directly off their website since Walthers doesn't carry this particular gear.

Over the last few weeks, ordered a book, and a magazine, then separately some parts. No problem.

I've ordered a couple times over the last six months and parts came through quickly. They have an online catalog.

Thanks, all. I placed an order on their website. Now all I have to do is wait, fingers crossed.
