Model Railroading > new building adviceDate: 04/11/14 06:41 new building advice Author: shadetree I am looking at building a new pole style building for my trains. I want to run wireless digitrax throttles. Should I stay away from interior steel on the walls and ceiling? Please offer any other building advice.

matter where you plan to build a model railroad. Depending on the size of your layout NCE and Easy DCC will give much better results.cf7 Date: 04/11/14 13:40 Re: new building advice Author: brfriedm Such a shame you continue to spread your hate. Will it ever end? I have had Digitrax wireless for years and it works flawlessy.
Bruce PS - and you forget that at one time NCE had mass issues with their wireless.... cf7 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You should stay completely away from Digitrax no > matter where you plan to build a model railroad. > Depending on the size of your layout NCE and > Easy DCC will give much better results.cf7 Date: 04/11/14 15:04 Re: new building advice Author: Kemacprr Exterior steel will not cause any interior DCC radio problems. It may cause lack of wifi or celluar phone connections. My 32 x 80 barn was built with wood T-111 siding some 23 years ago. A few years back I had it resided with steel and had no NCE radio issues. I also have a tern metal roof on the building. I would not use steel as divider walls inside the building as they may cause you radio problems. ----- Ken McCorry

under our mountain scenery, we added another repeater under the scenery. Never to late to add a water closet to an outside corner of the building, some plumbing and away you go. Date: 04/13/14 04:56 Re: new building advice Author: cf7 brfriedm Wrote:

First of all if you don't like what I write about a product, DON'T READ IT!!!! Nobody is forcing you to read anything up here. Second, my comments about products are based on past experience with the product, either by selling it, buying it and having problems that even the product in question's customer support have no idea how to fix! When you pay good money for something you expect it to perform as it is advertised. I have used NCE for years without any problems and I have used Easy DCC on several layouts that also perform great. Plus they both have outstanding Customer Service that's only a phone call away that can talk you through any problem you may encounter. cf7 |
