Model Railroading > SP Cab hopDate: 04/18/14 18:00 SP Cab hop Author: sphauler Work continues on my 1953 Southern Pacific themed HO layout but once in a while I like to run some trains. Here's a short run by the Local.
1. At 7am the crew is called out. 2. Parked on the ready track, they pick up their assigned locomotive #3251, a MK-6 class 2-8-2. 3. In front of the depot the crew wait for a clearance card to head down the main. Date: 04/18/14 18:04 Re: SP Cab hop Author: sphauler 4. #3251 is up to speed as she rounds the curve past the MOW storage track.
5. With the caboose in tow the Local heads east. 6. Arriving in the small town of Oceano, the local has much work to do switching the numerous packing houses located here. (This is the newest portion of the layout. I still need to scratch build several of the buildings in this area.) Long live the Espee!
