Athearn containers will fit, however the Con-cor container pin set up is opposite the athearn. Athearn, a pin at bottom points down, Cc, a pin at top points up. Cc container is rough, Walthers is better, Athearn is best. I do not have other brands so I cant compare. I would use Con cor container on the bottom, better ones on top. The coupler pocket fits KD's. On mine the truck screws are frozen, until I can get them off w/o breakage no further tuning. I do weight the bottom container so the car meets NMRA weight standards. Steve Update 3 in 1 oil did the trick. A drop on each truck screw then wait an hour or so.

Frozen truck screws is a common problem with the concor cars, as is the bottom truss pieces coming loose.

I too had the loose bottom truss pieces on mine. They are also a shade light. There are better choices, but I'd still go for them as "filler" cars.
