Model Railroading > Preserving the SP in HO scale: Cruds & CrummysDate: 04/20/14 09:54 Preserving the SP in HO scale: Cruds & Crummys Author: P5r24 Happy Easter everyone.
Today being Easter Sunday, the scanner seems to be pretty quiet. With the exception of the 4800 east stopped at the top end on main#2 waiting for a new crew, chances of getting lots of mainline action are not looking good so far. The yard channel however is busy this morning with a set of SW1500s (or Cruds as some railfans called affectionately them) working the Caboose tracks. S.P. 2537 & 2638 are Mued together and sound great in tandem as they pull & shuffel a long string of Crummys into running order for the next outbound trains. Edited 1 time(s). Combined with the cruds switching and the long string of pigs behind a "fleeting" lash-up, and you got yet another scene that captures the essence of SP operations! What a joy to see it all come together each time!
