Walther's Cornerstone Union Station
Author: willieboy64

I am trying to find some plans to follow to install this station in an "above the tracks" scenario. I have yet to purchase this kit and I recognize there may be such plans in the kit itself.
Can anyone confirm this or suggest a source of plans to set this station up 'above the tracks". Thanks very much !

If you are referring to Los Angeles Union Station, a good source is "The Last of the Great Stations" by Bill Bradley.

If you want the elevated track plan, pages 26-27 show "EXHIBIT A" 1937 drawing. Note: LAUPT added Tracks 17 & 18 recently.

If you are referring to the Walthers Cornerstone Union Station, Walthers Part # 933-3094. That station is based on the CB&Q station in Omaha, NE, which is elevated above the tracks.

The kit is compressed a bit with the wings a bit shorter than the original. Visited Omaha a few years ago and got a few photos. Hope they are of some help.
