New Central Valley Bridge
Author: rschonfelder

No one has commented on this model but I say it sure looks good. My feelings are it should be easy to kitbash it into a single track bridge but wonder if there is a design option incorporated into the kit. Has anyone chatted with the CV folks at the National Train Show?

You can see a couple photos of the bridge at the bottom of the first page of this MRH show report:

Nice report, but that's more than a double track version of their old bridge kit. That design is called something like an arched cord truss and would be about 180/200 ft, kinda guessing but that's an interesting bridge either way. A single track version would be interesting, possibly just cut it back for a single track.

The new bridge from Central Valley may have some inspiration for a modeller in looking at this recent thread on the Nostalgia Board. The double track version could also be used for that road bridge. Some Archer Rivets and Evergreen or other should come up with a pretty good rendition in a road or rail configuration.

Like their single track version, it's a bit light, but the average modeler will not know or care about that.

Looks to me like you could use that as a higway bridge without much of a problem. Paint it green and it would look right in place here in NY.
