Model Railroading > SP Snow ServiceDate: 07/29/14 09:13 SP Snow Service Author: bxmoore I found a few pics from 2010 that I took with a camera that had dirt in the lens, with resultant black splodges that spoiled the images. Following some small application last night, I removed most of the cr*p, and with a little tweaking, I feel they've turned out quite good.
SD9s by Rob Mallett, flanger started by me and finished by him, and ice breakers scratch-built by me. Thanks for looking. Weathering makes the big difference in making models look real. Well done.

I presume you refer to Betsy?! (Although you never know.) Brian Date: 07/29/14 10:22 Re: SP Snow Service Author: railwaybaron Nicest thing you've done. I remember them well.

Andy Date: 07/29/14 10:38 Re: SP Snow Service Author: nicknack Great models and photography. Were people in cab when those icicle breakers were in use? Did the cab roofs get any sort of reinforcement? Was it like electric pantographs and only the rear one was raised when in use?
Date: 07/29/14 10:38 Re: SP Snow Service Author: tgcostello Didn't realize I clicked a link to the Model Railroading board. Took a look at your first photo and thought those (prototype) locomotives look a bit like models. I had to look further below to see that they indeed were models.
Very well done! Tim Costello Date: 07/29/14 10:49 Re: SP Snow Service Author: stampedej Looks terrific Brian!
