Model Railroading > RS-27 truck sideframes removalDate: 07/29/14 12:56 RS-27 truck sideframes removal Author: Splitrock323 I am painting a few RS-27 models. P2K and version. I am at the stage where I want to paint the truck side frames I usually remove them and grit blast the slippery plastic so it holds paint and weathering so much better.
Does anyone have a way, or a diagram showing how the side frames should come off? Any help appreciated. Thomas G. Try to carefully remove the gear train cover that faces down, toward the track. You will need at least two miniature screw drivers and when you pry the tabs away, use a slip of index card to keep it from snapping back into place.
