Preserving the SP La Mesa Style
Author: Red_over_Yellow

Had the opportunity of a day trip to Southern California and a run session at La Mesa Model RR club. It has been 6 years since my last visit. Many thanks to Dave Hussey and Tim Costello - Great fun! TSA didn't even open the travel boxes, amazing!

A couple of a mid 80's executive train and Dave Hussey's amazing 70's lash up of 39's and 40's.

Definitely one of the most detailed, accurately scenicked and superb modeling of any Tehachapi layouts anywhere! I've had the pleasure of several visits, but never actually participated in an operating session, although I would love to some time. Thanks for sharing some nice shots.

Fantastic, I need to get back there again soon to see what's been accomplished since my last visit. The modeling on those trains is superb, along with the layout scenery.

Awesome pictures, unfortunately the videos posted on TO about the San Diego Model Railroad Museum are way too short. We want to see much more-more than 2 minutes of footage, I'll take a lot of video whenever I can get down there again, but it may be awhile!

Just do a YouTube search on "La Mesa Model Railroad Club"--there are literally HOURS of video shot by our members and visitors.
