A winter, lonely scene on the narrow gauge.

That's some very realistic looking modeling.

This picture was made back around 1982. At that time the Annetta Velley & Western was only about 2300 ft long. This site no longer exists. The engine is a 2.5" narrow gague 2-8-0. After having seen some Colorado and Southern pictures (when the mountains were not prominant) it just reminded me of that lonesome look you could get on the C&S.

Today we have about 4800 ft of mainline and are in the process of adding 1500 ft more as time and sore backs and knees permit. It will be run point to point making a run of about 12,000 ft. A lot of the track is concealed by berms now and you just can not get that "lonesome" look any more.
