September 20 and the second annual Rural Industrial Modelers’ Congress are coming soon. The event takes place at the old Willamina high school now known as the West Valley Community Campus, at 266 SE Washington St., Willamina, Oregon 97396. The event is focused on the wood products, mining and agriculture industries.

The event includes vendors, clinic presentations and a broad-based model contest with categories for most types of models that relate to the pertinent industries. A complete list of contest categories and general contest rules is available on our website listed below. Contest winners receive their award plaques to take home with them the same day during the awards presentation.

Willamina is just a few miles from the Spirit Mountain casino so the non-hobbyist members of your family can enjoy the day as well.

Our event starts around 9 am and wraps up by about 5 or 6, depending on how much fun people are having chatting and so forth. Admission is $20/person for the entire day of activities. We have a huge space for dealer tables so we welcome dealers for products that specifically relate to the interest areas covered by this event.
