Model Railroading > Wyoming Central layoutDate: 09/13/14 09:45 Wyoming Central layout Author: Conductor_Pappy Every Sept. first I try to make a picture diary of my layout. I like to free lance model, because it gives me the ability to move Two Harbors, Minnesota into the middle of the state of Wyoming. I always wanted a true island on my layout. The first picture is of the Two Harbors apron and the car float. The second picture is of the car float docking at the apron on the island. The only way to the island is by car float.

For my birthday I got a donut shop and my son made the sign "Doh Doh's" for the shop. That is what my grand kids call donuts.

The second is the spotting of the loads on the dock. The third is the viking Taconite and Wyoming Central ore cars on the dock. The joys of freelance modeling. Thanks to my son for the help in posting these pictures.

I thought with a name like Doh Doh's that you were a Simpsons fan. Kris Date: 09/13/14 13:23 Re: Wyoming Central layout Author: pal77 TCnR Wrote:

Cool layout! Date: 09/13/14 17:08 Re: Wyoming Central layout Author: BruceStikkers The whole idea is to make what is meaningful to you and keeps your interest. You are making a great layout.
Bruce Date: 09/13/14 19:35 Re: Wyoming Central layout Author: WrongWayMurphy It appears the tug crew can do some whale watching after leaving the slip.

-Dave Date: 09/14/14 00:27 Re: Wyoming Central layout Author: Splitrock323 Great layout. We can never have too much ore traffic.
Love seeing Two Harbors in Wyoming too. I like that the car flat comes with its own GN switcher. Hope to see more. Thomas G Date: 09/14/14 07:22 Re: Wyoming Central layout Author: EmpireBuilder There is a Wyoming MN a couple hours south of Duluth. I think it was on NP's Skally line. The Viking taconite cars remind me of the Omaha, Lincoln & Beatrice RR "Big Red Line" cars with the Nebraska football helmet. They used old UP ore cars to haul sand.
