Anyone have an idea why Athearn stopped making these great structures? I bought 2 of each and wish they were making more. Didn't they sell well?

Apparently they didn't sell well enough, I've been in this hobby 40 + years and never saw them anywhere !

The buildings I saw were relative over priced for what you got. They were heavy cast resin and the detail was OK, but not as nice as a plastic kit, plus they would be much harder to kitbash. So sales were slow and Athearn allowed the line to fade away.
