Model Railroading > Does anyone remember this?Date: 09/16/14 09:24 Does anyone remember this? Author: Frisco1522 When I was a young lad (mid 1940s) I remember one of the dime stores selling little plastic train models, probably would be N scale or even smaller, of trains for a nickle or dime each. They were just plastic shells, but I do think I remember a PRR K4 and some HW coaches.
Does anyone remember Scalecraft? Years ago I had one of their catalogs and their stuff looked very good if I remember. Am I older than dirt? Seems so. Date: 09/16/14 12:12 Re: Does anyone remember this? Author: coosbaytoday Did it look like this? From the traincollectors web site. tcawestern.org

The little plastic toys fell somewhat short of this in detail. Date: 09/17/14 14:41 Re: Does anyone remember this? Author: Chooch Yes, I remember Scale Craft and Varney, Penn Line, Mantua Metal Products and all the other great Train hobby suppliers. This certainly dates me!
