Oh, what a beautiful day!
Author: warrenpweiss

"It's blue sky and clear air so let's just relax and enjoy the scenery on the ride home", says conductor Biff McLaren. The crew of the Iverson local with the usual Baldwin AS-616 for power glides along the rails at 12 mph after an early finish to their day's work.

I'd say that's your best one yet, Warren. It could just about pass for one of Photobob's shots! The location has me stumped though; where is this on your layout? Really great.

Mark, it's somewhere in the middle. This photo may help to pinpoint the location.

Many thanks to all for the compliments. The gauge is 2-1/2", 1:22.6 scale, though commonly referred to as 1/2" scale or 1:24.

Sweet pics. I hope to resurrect my garden railway soon. I didn't know anybody made a large scale AS616. Or is it scratch built?

Mike (WP282),

I built the AS-616 from scratch using mostly sheet metal, coat hangers and paper clips along with some of my own castings.

Good luck getting your large scale trains revitalized.

Warren
