Model Railroading > Western Kansas Train Show- Past Weekend @ Hays, KSDate: 10/20/14 12:01 Western Kansas Train Show- Past Weekend @ Hays, KS Author: rrman6 Just wanting to thank Justin Keeler and all the various persons including all vendors and displays that made this another great show in the Great Plains area. I've been aware of this show in past years, but this was my first chance at attending.
I was impressed with with the facility and Justin and his family's superb operation with the long DCC/DC HO tracks carrying the various UP and AMTRAK trains constantly. I'm hoping for him this 2014 show was a success in carrying it on for the family tradition, following the loss of his brother and the stress of picking up where he left off. Justin, I'm looking forward to next years show on Oct. 17th & 18th! The following link is from an article taken from the Hays Daily News about the history of Justin's family and the Western Kansas Train Show. http://hdnews.net/news/trains101614 Edited 1 time(s). Not a big show but definitely worth the drive from Wichita to see some new territory and spend a relaxing day visiting and then railfanning afterwards.
