Model Railroading > Quick ObservationDate: 10/21/14 06:19 Quick Observation Author: funnelfan While doing some detail upgrades to various cars, I noticed that both Accurail and Walthers have great modern roller bearing trucks (unlike the blah Atlas trucks). But while the Accurail truck models the springs compressed as on a loaded car, the Walthers truck models them uncompressed as on a empty car. Food for thought next time you model a empty or loaded car.

Saves trying to match a number style, and eliminates the need for repetitive runs of "12 new numbers." Take a look at the indestructible corner steps on their three-bay offset-side hoppers. Much smarter use of materials than the imports.
