Model Railroading > Model RR Openhouse Schedule 2014 MD, NJ, DE and PA

Hello everyone,

So the 2014 Model Railroad Openhouse Schedule for Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania opens this weekend. The last weekend in October we allow our garden layouts to be open and then the month of November everyone else. We basically have every scale represented with lots of great layouts including many that have been published in all the magazines. We even have live steam now. Including our 2nd addition this year.

We also hit yet another record as we have 131 individual layouts open this year with 215 dates and 18 new layouts making their first appearance.(we had 124 layouts last year) I have been doing this schedule for over 23 years and have allot of great help from many excellent volunteers.

Go see some layouts, it is so much fun and gets the juices going. Of course I will be open. Please introduce yourself if you stop by.

Cool layout! Is that a Sponge Bob cab on the left, if so, please post a better photo because I'd like to see it up close...

If I was not up to my eyes in school/work, I would make the trip. Maybe next year. :/

A nickname applied to the squared-off cabs that CSX has installed on old SD40-2 (and now GP38-2) locomotives during rebuilds. "Spongebob Squarecab."
