Lost Atlas RS3 Exhaust Stack
Author: retcsxcfm

I have a new Atlas RS3 that came painted.I needed to remove the paint
because of wrong road.
During the process the horns, stack and handbrake wheel came off.
I did not notice this until later,AFTER I dumped the paint remover.
The horns are no problem because I have more and might need to change
them anyway.I can use most any freight car HB wheel.(I think the one
on the model was too big anyway)
BUT! The stack is gone and Atlas parts do not show a PN.The parts
list shows two RS3's.One from China (early?)and the newer one.Neither
shows the stack as a separate part, but it is.
Help,I need one to finish the model.

UJ, The 1990 Atlas catalog I have doesn't show a separate exhaust stack and p/n , only part of undecorated shell p/n 707200, RS 1'S came separate with p/n but not RS 3's, if they don't have one, I have 3, let me know, Ed

Yes, I have 2 RS3 bodies (spare), so if Atlas doesn't have a unpainted one , I have 2 with 1 coat of paint,

Joe, Carl mentioned the Custom Finishing but didn't have anything to write info down but that's what he told me. Go for it. I told you that you could expect an answer if posted to Trainorders. com site. Great helpful info guys.
