Model Railroading > Proto 2000 E8

I have a problem with the lighting on a P2K E8. The last time I ran the unit everything worked fine. Last week It would not run, the wiring hardness and one broken wire was the problem. I rewired it with a new harness. Engine runs fine, but the lights are messed up. The headlight is on in both directions , but mars light only comes on in reverse. I wired the headlight to the white wire and the mars light to the green wire on a Digitrax DH163. The only change I made was I change CV29 to 38 to match the direction and throttle indicator point in the same direction.

Any suggestion how to get the mars light to work in the forward mode and to flash as it is suppose to.

I've heard that on some of these units the wiring in the plug was incorrect as it came from the factory
