Model Railroading > Chasing on the Rock Island High Line - 1969Date: 11/10/14 20:05 Chasing on the Rock Island High Line - 1969 Author: imrl Made it out to a new to me layout that a good friend had told me about. It was built by Ken Jenkins and he models the Rock Island's High Line, between McFarland, KS and Belleville, KS. I shot some video with my little camera and just got it put together. I've captioned the video so I'll let it tell the story.
As a footnote, I hope the video comes out ok as I just edited it using iMovie on the iPad for the first time. So, hopefully it makes the transition to TO ok. Here are just a few more pictures that I snapped while I was there. - Jeff Date: 11/11/14 06:09 Re: Chasing on the Rock Island High Line - 1969 Author: iaisfan Very nice! Looks like Ken really did his homework! Thanks IMRL and Jeff for sharing the video and stills.

The only little nitpick is the horns on those sound-equipped locos and that's pretty much out of your control, as few decoders have the correct Nathan P5 horn installed. Thanks for sharing! It was one of the things we talked about as well. - Jeff Date: 11/11/14 20:03 Re: Chasing on the Rock Island High Line - 1969 Author: upkpfan Greg,
Great job on the video. It don't have the stop and go jerking around on it. Good job. upkpfan Date: 11/12/14 05:53 Re: Chasing on the Rock Island High Line - 1969 Author: binder001 Really nice video and it looks like a great model layout too. The trains brought back memories of some of the RI trains through Nebraska in the 60's. That must be one FINE layout!
