Bringing you up to date on progress of construction of my pontoon bridge.

Photo 1. I decided to build up the hull out of laminates (total 1" thick) of 1/4" balsa, with a 1/2" square pine end block to reinforce the part most vulnerable to accidental abuse. Here's the downstream side during curing.

Also attached are some key design items, at least for the Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin bridge over the Mississippi River.

BTW, your choice to model a pontoon bridge is very neat.
